Indiana Gaming Commission officials announced Monday that most of Indiana’s casinos can reopen their doors as soon as next week under COVID-19 safety plans they have submitted, reports FOX-59.
In preparation of opening casinos, the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) released its Health and Safety Guidelines for Reopening of Casino Operations on May 14.
In order to reopen, casinos statewide are required to submit safety plans that include how each casino would encourage social distancing and how they would limit the number of people at table games, along with requiring face masks for employees.
Locally, Rising Star Casino will reopen on Monday, June 15 at 6:00 a.m.
Hollywood Casino has announced they plan to reopen on Monday, June 15, pending final regulatory approval. A Hollywood Casino spokesperson released the following statement:
